Privacy Policy

OpenClaw Context Bridge • Last Updated: February 27, 2026

OpenClaw Context Bridge ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension designed to connect your browser to your locally-running OpenClaw AI agent. It is built with privacy and security as its core principles.

Data Collection

What We Collect

Nothing. The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers. We do not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party telemetry.

What Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:

  • Gateway URL: The address of your OpenClaw instance (e.g., http://localhost:18789).
  • API Token: Optional authentication token used to verify your connection to your own gateway.

How Your Data is Used

The Extension works by capturing the URL, page title, and any text you explicitly highlight on the active webpage.

When you trigger a command (such as "Clip to Memory" or "Summarize"), this data is packaged into a standard HTTP request and sent directly to the Gateway URL you configured in the settings.

The Extension acts solely as a bridge between your browser and your OpenClaw Gateway. Your data is never routed through our servers.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services. If you configure the Extension to connect to a remote server (e.g., using Tailscale or a remote VPS), it is your responsibility to ensure that network connection is secure.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Because we do not collect email addresses, we cannot notify you of changes directly.
